The following Epic integration changes will be available on 3/14/2021.

(1) Removal of Configuration Options

The following options in the app configuration will no longer be available:

  • Enable TLS Mutual Authentication - this unsupported option is no longer available and will be permanently disabled.

  • Enable Random Name Changes - the behavior associated with this option is now permanently enabled.

  • Block Zoom Client Logged-In User Notifications - this option is no longer required and will be permanently disabled.

(2) Beta - New Video Visit Device Test Feature

This feature will allow patients to perform a device test prior to their video visit appointment. Results of the test will automatically be reported to Epic for analysis by the healthcare provider. Setup and usage details will be provided to beta customers when feature is enabled.

Known issues/limitations:

  • Users will only be able to run the device test once per appointment. This limitation will be addressed in a later release.

  • Users that click the “help” link displayed during the device test will be taken to an error message instead of the help URL configured by the customer. This issue will be addressed in a later release.

(3) Beta - Epic OAuth Authentication (capability has been added but it cannot be enabled until a later date)

This feature enables Zoom to use OAuth authentication when communicating with Epic for reporting connection status notification and device test results. Setup and usage details will be provided to beta customers when feature is enabled.
